EVALUATION AND PROMOTIONS


There is no formal examination for the K.G. I, II, III, IV & V classes. For KG classes the progress made by the child which is assessed from time to time is sent to the parents in the form of assessment card in October and March.

For classes I-V in all nine assessment are done in all the subjects and the report is sent to the parents on quarterly basis. An evaluation of the development of different facets of child's personality is made by teachers continuously and report is sent to the parents for this too.

For classes VI to X the promotions are made on the basis of revised assessment structure 2017-18 as directed by CBSE.

For classes VI-VIII there are two terms. Each term comprises 1 periodic test of weightage 10, Note Book Submission 5, Subject Enrichment activities 5 and Term Exam (Half Yearly/Annual) 80. The grades are provided on 3 point scale (A-C) for cocurricular areas, i.e, Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education and Discipline. The result of both terms are shown on the Annual Report card separately as prescribed by CBSE. The promotions are made as per RTE Rules.

For classes IX and X, there are 2 types of assessments, i.e., Internal Assessment and Board/Annual Exam. Internal Assessment comprises 3 periodic tests, Note Book Submission and Subject Enrichment activities. Out of 3 periodic tests, best 2 are taken for consideration and given weightage 10, Note Book submission 5, Subject Enrichment 5 and Annual/Board Exam 80. The grades are provided on 5 point scale (A-E) for cocurricular areas, i.e, Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education and Discipline. One has to secure minimum 33% marks in Internal Assessment as well in Annual/Board Exam separately for the promotion.

The students of class XI are promoted to XII on the basis of their performance in the Annual Examination. We follow the promotion rules of the class XII Board Examination.
