There is no formal examination for the classes ECCE (Prep, Junior and Senior). For ECCE
classes the progress made by the child which is assessed from time to time is sent to the
parents in the form of assessment card in October and March.
For classes III-V there are 3 types of assessments, i.e., Internal Assessment, Half Yearly Exam
and Annual Exam. Internal Assessment is conducted 2 times
The grades are provided on 3-point scale (A-C) for co-curricular areas, i.e, Work Education, Art
Education, Health & Physical Education, Dance, Vocal Music and Instrumental Music.
For classes III to V the promotions are made as directed by RTE Act
*As per RTE Amendment Act 2019, there shall be a regular examination in the FIFTH class and in the
EIGHTH class at the end of every academic year and if a child fails, he shall be given additional
instruction and granted opportunity for re-examination within a period of two months from the date of
declaration of the result. The school may hold back a child in the fifth class or in the eighth class or in
both classes, if he fails in the re-examination.
For classes VI-VIII there are 2 types of assessments, i.e., Internal Assessment, Half Yearly Exam and
Annual Exam. Internal Assessment is conducted 2 times.

Education, Health & Physical Education, Dance, Vocal Music and Instrumental Music.
For classes IX to XII the promotions are made as directed by CBSE.
For classes IX and X, there are 2 types of assessments, i.e., Internal Assessment and
Board/Annual Exam. Internal Assessment comprises 3 periodic tests, Multiple Assessment
(observation, oral tests, individual or group work, class discussion, fieldwork, concept
maps, graphic organizers, visual representation etc.), Portfolio and Subject Enrichment
activities. Out of 3 periodic tests, best 2 are taken for consideration and given weightage 5,
Multiple Assessment 5, Portfolio 5 and Subject Enrichment 5 and Annual/Board Exam 80.
The grades are provided on 5 point scale (A-E) for co-curricular areas, i.e, Art Education
and Health & Physical Education and Discipline. One has to secure overall 33% marks (both
taken together in Internal Assessment as well in Annual/Board Exam) for the promotion. We
follow the promotion rules of CBSE class X Board Examination in class IX.
The students of class XI are promoted to XII on the basis of their performance in the
Annual Examination. We follow the promotion rules of CBSE class XII Board Examination in
class XI.
